It lasts forever and then its over by Anne De Marcken

"For me, there are two alternatives: either swallow or break free."

- Susan Howe

If you like Bones and All, read this book. ( It lasts forever and then it's over ) It is more existential than Bones and All; it's also less romance-focused, indifferent to Bones and All, unfortunately. I also just happen to love crows and unconventional stories.
It discusses metaphors for cannibalism, through crows, oddly enough, & has a morally corrupt main character to tie with those metaphors. Definitely a weird, macabre read. There is a romance in the book, it's just not under the spotlight, and is based more in grief, distorted want, and reminiscence of the past, including the main character having those feelings about their own sense of self.
